Cybersecurity
Sudan Computer Emergency Response Team (Sudan CERT) was established in January 2010 as an initiative by the Telecommunication and Post Regulatory Authority (formerly the National Telecommunications Corporation). The center’s primary goal is to enhance cybersecurity for companies, institutions, and national facilities by protecting information systems and networks from cybercrime. Sudan CERT acts as the first responder to cybersecurity incidents, providing technical guidance and consultation to various entities before and after any cyber incident. It also tracks cybercriminals and presents digital evidence.
Sudan CERT effectively manages cybersecurity incidents by identifying threats, coordinating actions at the national and regional levels, and disseminating vital information. It serves as a central point of contact for cybersecurity issues, offering comprehensive services, including incident response, digital forensics, proactive security measures, and security quality management, to ensure the robust protection of digital infrastructure.
