Tariffs

The Regulatory Authority is responsible for setting and regulating the pricing of telecommunications and post services to ensure the provision of high-quality, affordable services to consumers. This involves monitoring compliance with the established tariffs by licensees through the following methods:

  • Establishing mechanisms and guidelines for determining service tariffs.
  • Approving proposed tariffs submitted by licensees.
  • Reviewing and evaluating tariff adjustments suggested by licensees based on cost models, and issuing recommendations to ensure that high-quality services are provided at a reasonable cost.
  • Ensuring fairness and transparency in tariffs for users.
  • Monitoring licensees’ adherence to approved tariffs and conducting reviews if tariffs deviate from those that were approved or publicly announced.
  • Regulating wholesale and retail prices for telecommunications services and setting regulatory principles for pricing of core services, promotional offers, interconnection costs, link rentals, and capacity rentals, based on the actual cost of providing the relevant service.
  • Overseeing details of announcements regarding tariff changes for telecommunications services through websites and other available channels for a sufficient period before implementation.
  • Conducting periodic tests using billing systems for all telecommunications services provided by licensees to subscribers.
  • Addressing user complaints related to telecommunications services.
