Minister of Communications and Digital Transformation Holds First Ministry Council Meeting in Port Sudan

Engineer Ahmed Al-Dirdiri Ghandour, Minister of Communications and Digital Transformation, held the first meeting of the Ministry Council today in Port Sudan. The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Elsadig Gamaleldeen Elsadig, as well as the heads of the three affiliated units, the National Center, and the Electronic Certification Authority.
The meeting addressed joint issues, policies, and strategies governing the work of the ministry, with an emphasis on full coordination between departments and affiliated bodies. Discussions also covered the Ministry’s reconstruction and recovery plan using technology in the post-war period, with a focus on implementing the Ministry’s strategy in areas such as infrastructure, the government network, the national portal, government postal services, citizen data centers, as well as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
The council also discussed the assignment of consulting firms to help develop and modernize existing ministry policies. Additionally, it highlighted the importance of digitally and technically upskilling national talent to bridge the gap between education and employment.
