Sudan and Qatar Strengthen Cooperation to Develop the Postal Sector through Knowledge Exchange

As part of efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation, a representative from Sudan’s Telecommunications and Post Regulatory Authority (TPRA) conducted an official visit to the State of Qatar on 16 June 2025. The visit included meetings with Qatar’s Communications Regulatory Authority and Qatar Post, aimed at exchanging expertise and adopting global best practices in the postal sector.
During the visit, the Sudanese delegation was briefed on Qatar’s regulatory framework for the postal sector and learned about Qatar’s experience in universal postal services, digital transformation initiatives, electronic tracking systems, and e-commerce regulation. The discussions also covered successful case studies of digital transformation in postal services, complemented by field visits to explore technical and operational aspects.
The council also discussed the assignment of consulting firms to help develop and modernize existing ministry policies. Additionally, iBoth parties reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing technical cooperation and expanding areas of partnership to improve performance efficiency and deliver advanced postal services that meet the needs of individuals and businesses, keeping pace with global developments.
